My chosen location is a small country called Rwanda located in the Center-East of Africa. Its countryside consists of grasslands and rolling hills that give it also the name of Thousands Hills: which will be my main focus.
I chose this location because it is where I am from. I have walked, climbed, ran and traveled through some of those hills days and nights during the Genocide in 1994.I believe that it will be an interesting landscape that I can cover during this course to learn more about it's countryside covered by grasslands and small farms extending over rolling hills, with areas of rugged mountains that extend southeast from a chain of volcanoes in the northwest. Also, by choosing this location it will require a greater understanding of physical geography that I will learn from in this class. I decided to introduce the land of" A Thousand Hills" as my project.

Hey Henriette, i think this is a really good start to your blog this semester! I think you could use more details in sense of how these hills were created and/or formed. This is a beautiful landscape and has much to offer. If you can expand on some of the details behind the scene, then i think it will make this blog THAT much better.
